Quizmandu ("we", "our", "us") is an exam preparation platform for Lok Sewa Aayog aspirants in Nepal. We provide practice questions, full mock exams, and readiness tracking through our mobile application. For any questions about this policy, contact us at support@quizmandu.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide

Name and email address at registration
Exam position preference (e.g., Nayab Subba, Kharidar, Section Officer)
Payments are made manually — we do not store your payment details or credentials

Information collected automatically

Practice session data: questions answered, scores, and time spent
Readiness scores and subject-wise performance over time
Device type, operating system, and app version
App usage patterns, session frequency, and feature interactions

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To personalise your exam preparation experience
To calculate readiness scores and subject-wise breakdowns
To send progress reminders and notifications (with your consent)
To process and verify payments
To improve our question bank, content quality, and app features
To communicate important service updates

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third parties:

Authentication provider

Manages user accounts and sign-in, including Google OAuth. Servers are located outside Nepal.

Cloud infrastructure provider

Hosts our database and API. Servers are located in India.

Analytics provider

Collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how the app is used and improve features.

Error monitoring provider

Receives crash reports and error logs to help us identify and fix bugs.

Law enforcement

When required by the laws of Nepal or a valid court order.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure Microsoft Azure servers in India. We use industry-standard TLS encryption for data in transit and encryption at rest. While we implement reasonable safeguards, no system can guarantee complete security against all unauthorized access.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and performance data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent for notifications at any time in app settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Nepal.
